I’m very well, thank you!
Tell us about your business.
PinkHippoLondonPR is a boutique public relations agency specialising in PR, branding and events. We offer super affordable flexible packages that allow the client to 'pick and mix' specific services according to their budget.
What inspired you to start your own PR company?
I was fresh out of university and had applied for over 300 jobs. Nothing had come through, so I decided to create my own opportunity. That way, I could control the environment that I worked in, my hours and I would have free reign to do what I wanted.
It's sad that many graduates find themselves in similar situations and don't know what to do. They are just stuck. I want young people to know that they have creative space to build something themselves instead of waiting for an opportunity that may never appear.
The best part about what you do is…
There are quite a few, but I’d say, one of the best things about what I do is being able to help a client grow their brand. Being able to see someone's else's dream unfold is pretty rewarding! What’s one key challenge you’ve faced and how did you tackle it?
There was a particular client that stopped believing in their talent which affected the work we were doing for them. Eventually it severed the relationship that we’d built. I realised that as a business owner, you have to listen and read the signs that tell you to let go of a client, even after you’ve built a strong connection. When it starts to reflect negatively on your brand, you need to take the necessary action.
What’s next for you and Pink Hippo?
To keep growing and to hopefully build a full PR team in the future. We have recently started working with new talent, for example, social influencers which has been great for my agency; as a business owner, you must keep up with the times and make yourself relevant.

And the last thing you do before going to sleep is…
Make sure I'm prepared for the next day as much as possible.
On a day off what would you do?
